I grew up in the small city of Pembroke, Ontario. Before I became a lawyer, I attended Queen’s University, and received my Bachelor of Arts Honours (Sociology) in 2012. While I was at Queen’s, I took many courses that had a focus on criminology and social organizations which sparked my interest in law. In 2013, I moved to Thunder Bay, Ontario to attend law school as part of the first class of students at the Lakehead University, Bora Laskin Faculty of Law. Following my graduation in 2016, I was admitted to the Ontario Bar and began practicing family law in Thunder Bay.
In October 2017, I relocated to Kingston, Ontario, to practice family law with RST Law. I am thrilled to be back in Kingston and to establish my practice here. I currently represent clients in court with respect to issues of custody, access, child support, spousal support, property division and divorce. I also provide out of court services such as cohabitation agreements, marriage contracts and separation agreements. I understand that separation and divorce are very difficult for families and I strive to keep the process as straightforward and cost-effective as possible.
I am currently a member of the Ontario Legal Aid Family Law and Child Protection Panels, the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Frontenac Law Association. When I am not practicing law, I enjoy reading, baking, watching television and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy running and have participated in several races of varying distances, including running a half-marathon through Disneyland.
